I am a General Practitioner, with a degree in Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid and specialist training at the Gregorio Marañón University Hospital. After several years working as a pediatrician in the public healthcare system, I decided in 2016 to launch a personal project: bringing healthcare into people’s homes. That’s how Equipo Médico Ordovás was born—today made up of around 40 professionals from different areas of healthcare, and attending to over 7,000 patients a year.
I was born in Dublin and raised in Madrid, with a British mother and a Spanish father. At home we spoke “Spanglish”, and that blend of cultures has deeply shaped my way of seeing the world. Medicine gave me not only a vocation, but also a family: I’m married to a Venezuelan surgeon and I’m the mother of four children (and a dog).
Through my children, I’ve learnt things you won’t find in textbooks: breastfeeding techniques, infant colic, healthy sleep habits… I’m a doctor by profession and a mother by vocation, and both roles have taught me the empathy that children — and parents — so often need. I live each day trying to balance my calling in medicine with the intensity — and joy — of family life.

Graduated in medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2016, I decided to carry out my pediatrics residency at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid. At the end of my 4 years of pediatric training, I did the subspecialty of pediatric pneumology and allergology during my last year of residency. This is a very useful subspecialty in the field of general pediatrics.
I have oriented my professional career to primary care in a health center in the eastern area of Madrid where I enjoy putting my pediatric knowledge into practice, as well as accompanying families in the growth and development of their children. Topics such as breastfeeding, asthma, obesity, sleep… among many others, arise daily among the doubts of my patients and I enjoy being able to follow their clinical evolution.
I want pediatrics to be a game for children and a peace of mind for parents. I want the whole family to have a personalized experience of medical care, and together we help their children during the beautiful journey that is parenting.

Graduate in Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid (2010-2016). Member of the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid with membership number 281904092. Doctor in Health Sciences Cum Laude from the University of Alcalá de Henares.
Specialist in Paediatrics with sub-specialisation in neonatology. For this, I trained at the University Hospitals of La Paz and Clínico San Carlos, national reference centres. I currently work at the University Hospital of Getafe in the Neonatology and Emergency Department. In addition, since I have been a member of the Ordovás Medical Team, I have given my profession a different approach; caring for patients outside the healthcare environment, where they feel safer and more protected by their families.
I have always enjoyed teaching and so I decided to train as a paediatric and neonatal CPR instructor. This has allowed me not only to teach my colleagues how to care for the most serious patients, but also to instruct families, teachers and caregivers to be able to act in case of emergencies in First Aid Workshops.
I discovered my vocation for paediatrics when I was a medical student and volunteering in children’s homes. Since then I have been working to give the best of myself back to each of my patients.

Born in León and graduated in Medicine from the University of Valladolid in 2008. During my student years, I had the opportunity to stay in the pediatric section of a hospital in Ghana, where I discovered my vocation for children. At that moment, it was clear to me that I wanted to dedicate myself to the care of children, and so years later, I arrived in Madrid to complete my training as a pediatrician at the University Hospital of Getafe. During the years of my residency, I completed my sub-specialization in pediatric nephrology, doing part of my specialty at the Hospital La Paz.
After finishing my residency in 2012, I continued working in the hospital setting as part of the team at the University Hospital of Getafe. There, I worked as a pediatric nephrologist, an activity that I combined with pediatric emergency and hospitalization care.
Now, after almost 14 years practicing pediatrics in the hospital, and after two small revolutions that are growing by leaps and bounds came into my life, I have decided to change the hospital for primary care. In addition to allowing me to dedicate more quality time to my children, I love the continuity offered by the health center, the close relationship with families, and above all, seeing my patients grow.

Degree in Medicine and PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Alcalá, Master in Public Health and Preventive Medicine from the National School of Health / Carlos III Institute of Madrid.
I did my first residency in family and community medicine at the Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro at the same time that I did my first maternity residency. In R2 I had my second child and in R3 I had my third. This, and having been trained in a hospital where family medicine residents did a lot of pediatric emergency duty led me to discover my passion for primary care pediatrics and to want to develop in this professional field. My dream would be to be the physician for families, from newborns to grandparents, and so I see both pediatric and adult patients at various health centers in the Northwest area.
Thanks to my personal circumstances I have been trained in breastfeeding, infant sleep and aspects of parenting that sometimes do not strictly pertain to the health care setting, but do pertain to the families I treat. The most common thing is for doctors to become specialists first and then mothers/fathers, but in my case I believe that this “parallel training” in medicine and maternity gives me a particular and pragmatic vision of the health problems of families and this is something that my patients appreciate and that makes me enjoy this wonderful profession even more.

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Navarra in 2017, specializing in Pediatrics at the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria in Tenerife. I have always lived surrounded by children and the joy they transmit, so I could not imagine a different specialty. I like the close relationship with the patient so I work in primary care.
Currently I have two daughters, who help me see my patients with even more sensitivity and to understand that one of the tasks of a pediatrician is to facilitate practical aspects of parenting to parents as much as possible.

Working with children gives us a different way of seeing things and a joy in the day to day that I think other jobs do not give; it is a good thing to be able to enjoy it.

I graduated in Medicine from the University of Salamanca (2011-2017), where I discovered my vocation for paediatrics: a closer, more tender and joyful medicine. With the firm intention of dedicating myself to caring for children, I specialised in Paediatrics at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid, with a sub-specialisation in Paediatric Endocrinology during the last year. I had the opportunity to train in leading hospitals such as La Paz, 12 de Octubre and the Hospital Infantil Universitario Niño Jesús, where I currently carry out part of my professional work. My main focus is Paediatric Endocrinology, with special interest in the treatment of childhood obesity, as well as paediatric emergency care.
General paediatrics has always been an important part of my practice, through which I can offer close and personalised support to children and their families. It is therefore a pleasure to be part of the Ordovás Medical Team, where we prioritise committed, caring and quality care. Being able to care for children in their own home, an environment where they feel safe, allows us to offer a more thorough and trustworthy treatment.

Native of Almeria and graduated in Medicine from the University of Granada in 2017. I did my training in Pediatrics at the Virgen del Rocio Hospital in Seville. Among the broad branch of pediatrics, I specialized in Pediatric Intensive Care. I like the comprehensive management of the patient, and this subspecialty has given me the opportunity to know the serious child in all its areas.
I have worked in Pediatric Intensive Care units as well as in Emergency and Hospitalization services. I currently practice my profession in the pediatric ICU of the Ramón y Cajal Hospital and also in the Quirónsalud clinic.
I am a cheerful person and one of the things I like most about my job is being able to approach the child through play and fun. I always have the satisfaction of being able to alleviate the problems of family members who are going through a time that is often not pleasant.

Graduated in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid, after finishing my studies in 2017 I took the MIR exam that allowed me to perform my Pediatrics residency at the Hospital La Paz in Madrid. I had always felt a vocation for helping those most in need, and that made me decide to subspecialize in Pediatric Oncology. Caring for children with cancer has made me deepen in a comprehensive management of pediatric patients, treating and caring for both medical and psychological and social aspects. My interest in this specialty made me train in home care at the Hospital La Fé in Valencia, as well as train for 1 year abroad, in the prestigious London hospital Great Ormond Street, allowing me to acquire a broad command of medical English.
This specialized training has meant that I have always considered the integrated management of General Pediatrics as something fundamental in my medical work. In Equipo Médico Ordovás I provide my care and attention to the general pediatric patient with closeness and care, assessing all aspects that may be affecting their well-being, in a pleasant way with the youngest members of the family.
