OUR TEAM
MALLORCA
Family doctors, pediatricians with something in common, A great vocation for their work.
At the end of 2016, Rebecca started offering her Pediatric home care service in Madrid. She wanted to dedicate the time and attention that her patients needed in the safe environment of their own homes.
Thanks to word-of-mouth and the power of social media, the number of families who trusted her began to grow. In March 2020, while pregnant with her fourth child and experiencing an increase in workload due to the pandemic, she decided to form a team.
Gradually, wonderful professionals who share the same passion for providing quality healthcare without rushing joined the team.
In July 2023, driven by the desire to expand to other areas of Spain, the Ordovás Medical Team opened a branch on the island of Mallorca, led by renowned pediatrician Jorge Muñoz and a carefully selected team of doctors.

My name is Jorge, the pediatrician. I studied Medicine in Santander and completed my specialty in the United Kingdom before coming to Mallorca, where I have been living with my family for the past 20 years.
Some highlights from my career include:
– Working as the head of the pediatric team at Quirón Salud Palmaplanas for 18 years, an experience that led me to currently lead a new concept in pediatrics and medicine, “Espacio Jorge el pediatra.”
– Co-founding the NGO “Ayuda al Chad,” where we cooperate in the Republic of Chad and provide assistance in other places like Senegal and Paraguay.
– Publishing two books, “El infierno más bonito que conozco” with the editorial “El humo del escritor,” a charity book that sold out its three editions, and “Doctor, y ahora qué?” with editorial “Planeta.”
– In the field of communication, I had a weekly program on Ser Baleares for more than 10 years and am currently on Cope Baleares. I will always remember my TEDx talk and the BBVA “aprendemos juntos” interview, as well as the Onda Cero Award for International Cooperation.
Recently, I was honored to be named a Member of Honor by the Spanish Academy of Nutrition and a member of the scientific committee of the “Ser Padres” magazine.
I was awarded the Silver Medal for Penitentiary Merit for my altruistic work towards the children of incarcerated mothers.
I love the concept of home visits created by Dr. Ordovás in Madrid, which is why I have accepted the beautiful adventure of starting it in Mallorca alongside her.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital in 1999. After the MIR exam, I completed my residency in Pediatrics and its Specific Areas at the University Hospital of Son Dureta between the years 2000-2004 in Palma de Mallorca. In the last year, I specialized in Pediatric Pulmonology. I am registered as a member of the illustrious College of Physicians of the Balearic Islands with registration number 0706190.
Since then, I have been practicing as a pediatrician in a Primary Care Health Center in a rural area.
Born in Palma de Mallorca, I am the mother of 3 wonderful children.
Motherhood has allowed me to empathize even more on a professional level with all the doubts and concerns that arise for all parents during the upbringing of children.
My curiosity to help others, even from a young age, led me to study Medicine; and my fondness and tenderness for children led me to choose Pediatrics as my specialty. Pediatrics in Primary Care allows me to accompany and reassure families, provide comprehensive care for children, and maintain a closer follow-up on their health.
In recent years, I have been incorporating the use of pediatric clinical ultrasound into my clinical practice, which allows me to better assess my patients and make more appropriate decisions.
Apart from my work and my children, one of my great passions is the sea. I am fortunate to live on this beautiful island, Mallorca, which allows me to enjoy it frequently. In my free time, I try to get closer to the sea to swim, sail, row… or simply contemplate it. It brings me peace, serenity, and well-being.
